Forum details: Mercury Cinema, Morphett Street, Adelaide The Arts Industry Council of South Australia is excited to announce our winter forum for 2010 GREENING THE ARTS. Panellists include: Mr. Ian Scobie Mr. Rob Brookman Mr. Andrew Grant The discussions will be led and moderated by: Ms. Kathryn Calaby INTRODUCTION TO ‘GREENING THE ARTS’ Ian Scobie will then discuss WOMADelaide and the green and sustainability measures that have been put in place at the festival. See here for more. Rob Brookman will then discuss the ‘Greening the Wharf’ project at the Sydney Theatre Company which amongst other things involves the second largest rooftop photovoltaic installation in Australia. Andrew Grant will talk about a complete “waste management” approach with a focus on “target zero waste” through combined solutions for maximising recycling and utilising complimentary environmental solutions such as compostable cutlery and packaging, all whilst reducing costs by segmenting waste streams and to minimise waste. Essentially providing immediately implementable ideas and solutions for companies/events of all sizes. The panellists will then answer questions from the floor. This is an event not to be missed by anyone who is concerned about the environment and the finding practical examples of how to ‘Green’ your organisation, event or workplace.
